Physical Education
Kavitha’s college of Arts and Science of Physical Education was founded by the great Philanthropist. The department of Physical Education located near the hostel premises. The department has infrastructures for the indoor games as table tennis, carom, chess and outdoor games as volley ball, Football, throw ball, tennikoit, shuttle, kabaddi, kho-kho, and cricket. The department is headed by one Physical Director. The following are the facilities available in the department of Physical Education. We believe that through various subjects and sports activities, students can develop key life skills such as Physical growth & development, Intellectual development, Emotional development, Social development, Cultural development, Character development, Neuro-muscular development, Moral development, Physical fitness, Positive health, Personal adjustment, Leadership qualities, Democratic values, Constructive use of leisure time, Citizenship qualities, Economic values, Mental relaxation, National integration, Natural talent search & potential, Teaching & learning of motor skills for achievement of higher standard performance, Help to plane activity programme, Help to understand the nature & activities of human organism in different set of situations, Help to understand what is true & what is false practice in Physical Education.

Our Mission
To train students to take up the vocation of teachers of Physical Education.To create disciplined sportspersons to participate in sports and games in national and international competitions. To conduct quality research in Physical Education and allied areas so as to make the college as a centre of excellence.
Facilities
We have sufficient facilities in our campus for both field events and indoor games for the students to practice and to conduct the Intramural Sports.
Games Hall has the provision for Table Tennis, Chess and Carom. The Physical Director's office and a store room also exist in this hall.
Players Convenience adds sufficient facilities for toilet, bathing, dressing for boys and girls are available in the Department of Physical Education premises.
Since our institution has 100 number of students and they utilize facilities effectively
Events and Tournaments
Compulsory Physical Education classes for the B.Ed students of our college are regular feature. In this class the students are being taught about the basic Health Education, various types of conditioning exercises to develop their physical fitness and games according to their proficiency and taste. We follow a strict uniform code for the Physical Education classes
Students Achievements
Our college kabaddi team had participated in periyar university inter college kabaddi
tournament held at, salem.
Our college kabaddi team has participated in CM TROPHY and our student Mr. k
Rubish selected in state level games organize by SDAT Namakkal.
Our college kabaddi team had participated UNDER 55 kg category state level kabaddi
tournament held at trichy and our college team won 2nd price.
Behalf of our Kavithas college of arts and science and Nehru yuva Kendra namakkal
jointly organized the kabaddi tournament in our campus more than 30 teams were participated.
Our college kabaddi team won 1st price in that tournament.
Mr. K.Rubish, L.Naveen, B.Sathishkumar, J. Abdul Rahuman, had won 2nd place in
District Level Kabbadi Tournament from 21-10-2023 (26-11-2023). Kokkaranpattai and
Perundurai from 21-10-2023 to 26-11-2023.
IN TWO TIMES Mr. K.Rubish, had won 2nd place in District Level Junior Kabbadi
Tournament.
K. Rubish belongs to III- B.com were participated in NATIONAL JUNIOR LEVEL
And won second price. Held at Delhi.
- Our college cricket team participated in intercollegiate cricket tournament organized by Periyar University. held at Rasipuram.
- Behalf of our kavithas college of arts and science we organize a cricket league more than 12 teams were participated in that league. Our college cricket team won 1st place in that league.
Our college kho- kho team were participated in Intercollegiate kho- kho tournament organize by periyar university.
S. SARULATHA belongs to II- B.com CA were participated in District senior level kho- kho and won second price.
P. MADHU SRI belongs to II- BA ENGLISH were participated in District senior level kho- kho and won second price .
- Our college more that 30 Athletic students were participated in intercollegiate athletic events organized by our Periyar University.
- Mr. D.Gopinath, G.vignesh, M.Meganathan, S.Iniyavan, from our college had participated on Save Thirumaninuthaaru - Marathon 20-08- 2023 at Salem.
- S.KAVIYA belongs to II-Cs were participated in District senior 400m won Ist place, 600m IInd place, 800m II nd place, 1500m IInd place, 3000m Ist place.
- S. SARULATHA belongs to II- B.com CA were participated in District senior 400 m and won second price.
- P. MADHU SRI belongs to II- BA ENGLISH were participated in District senior level LONG JUMP and won second price.
- S.KAVIYA belongs to II-Cs were participated in State level under senior category in,1500m,3000m,800m,participated.
- P.Santhosh II – M.com won district level second price in javelin throw event
