Entrepreneurship Development Cell (EDC)
The Entrepreneurship Development Cell (EDC) was established in the academic year 2015–2016 with the objective of promoting entrepreneurial awareness and developing entrepreneurial skills among students. The main aim of the cell is to motivate students to think creatively, become self-reliant, and explore opportunities in entrepreneurship. The EDC organizes various programmes such as workshops, seminars, entrepreneurship awareness camps, and industrial visits to provide students with exposure to real-world business practices and encourage them to start their own enterprises. The cell also supports aspiring entrepreneurs by providing essential resources such as mentorship, consultancy, networking opportunities, and guidance for availing seed funding. These initiatives help students transform their innovative ideas into successful business ventures.
The institution regularly conducts Entrepreneurship Awareness Camps (EAC) with the financial support of the Entrepreneurship Development Institute of India (EDII), Gujarat, under the sponsorship of the Department of Science and Technology (DST), Government of India. Since 2016, these programmes have been conducted regularly in the institution. During these events, experts from the District Industries Centre (DIC), industrial professionals, bank managers, and successful entrepreneurs are invited as resource persons to provide valuable guidance, suggestions, and motivation to students for developing an entrepreneurial mindset and understanding the practical aspects of starting and managing a business

country by generating employment and improving productivity.
During the programme, speakers discussed the qualities required to become a successful
entrepreneur, such as leadership, creativity, risk-taking ability, decision-making skills, and hard
work. They also explained the challenges faced by entrepreneurs and the methods to overcome
them. Students were encouraged to identify business opportunities in their surroundings and
develop new ideas that could be transformed into successful enterprises.
The programme also highlighted various government schemes and support systems available for
young entrepreneurs, including financial assistance, training programmes, and startup guidance.
