Literature is nothing but its human conscience. Literary works are created in accordance with the creators experience, human relationship, effort and talent. Academic Events 2018-2019
Research Department of English was inaugurated in the Academic year 2018.
PG Inauguration Function:
We celebrated PG inauguration function on 23.07.2018 and to be invited the Chief Guest, Mr. A. Tamilarasan, from Amba University, Ethiopia. All our PG students participated in this event.
Shakespearean English Literary Association:
On 20.01.2018, we organised the Literary Association Oratorical Competition of the following Titles:
I Year: Female Literary authors
II Year: The role of English today
III Year: Women Empowerment in English Literature,
The Role of Linguistic in English today.
Our students participated in the State Level Workshop on “Current Trends in Literary Criticism and Teaching Communication skills” held on 09.01.2018 at Muthayammal Memorial college of Arts and Science, Rasipuram.
Our English Department students participated a one day National Seminar on the topic of “Literature in the Present Scenario and Shakespearean Tragedy” at Muthayammal Memorial Arts and Science College, Rasipuram on 08.01.2019.
On the 125th memories of Swami Vivekanandha’s Speech in the world’s Religious Conference in 1893 at Chicago, we have conducted Essay Writing competition. Many students have participated and won the prizes and certificates on 02.08.2019.
Academic Events (2019-2020)
Our English Department students participated “Quiz and Literary Riddles” at Pavai College of Arts and Science, Paachal and won the Prizes On 25.09.2019.
Our English Department students are presented a paper on the topic of “Feminism” at Kongu college of Arts and Science, Erode On 03.10.2019.
Our students participated in National level workshop on the topic of “Development and Hosting of E-Content” held at K.S.R. college of Arts and Science, Erode On 12.10.2019.
Our M.A. English students participated the State Level Workshop on the topic of “Post colonial Studies” On 25.10.2019 at NKR Government Arts and Science College for Women, Namakkal. On 08.01.2020 & 09.01.2020, Our II-M.A English students have visited our Periyar University Library for their research purpose.
Our department students eagerly participated One Day National Level Workshop on the topic of “Aesthetics of English Language & Literature” held at Salem Sowdeswari College, Salem On 05.02.2020
Our students participated One Day International Conference on the title of “Role of Literature in Sustaining Social and Cultural Values” held at Kandaswami Kandar’s College, P.Velur on 06.02.2020.
