Instrumenation and Control

Our department was started in the year 1991 with the intake of 30 students with proper approval from AICTE New Delhi and DOTE Chennai. The Diploma programme in Instrumentation and Control Engineering was started in the year 1991. Instrumentation and control engineering play a vital role in industries. We aim at producing talented instrumentation and control specialists who serves to the needs of the modern industries. The department is fascinating motley of multifarious disciplines of technology such as electronics, electrical, instrumentation, measurements, process control and automation.

The curriculum begins with foundation courses in mathematics, physics, chemistry, electronics and electrical. Emphasis is laid on the courses like sensors and transducers, micro-controllers, industrial instrumentation, control systems, PC interfacing and telemetry. The focus in the final year is more on advanced electives such as Industrial Power Electronics, Industrial Automation, Sensors and transducers, Bio Medical Instrumentation Industrial safety, Computer Based Process control and Virtual Instrumentation.Not applied for Accreditation by NBA.
