About Our Trust

Saraswathi Education Trust [SET] was founded in the year 2005 by the eminent Educationalist Dr.P. SenthilKumar. The trust being managed by Chairman Thiru K. Palaniappan, Vice Chairman Smt P.Saraswathi and Secretary Mrs. V. Kavitha Senthilkumar. Since its inception the Trust has involved itself in benevolent activities for inculcating quality education by promoting various types of Educational Institutions.

SET has been running many Distance Education center (SET College) in and around the district for past ten years from this many thousand pupil are step forward in their life. In 2015 Kavitha’s College of Arts & Science was started by the trust. The main objective of the college is to uplift the below poverty line rural student to be a graduate with minimum affordable charges.

Kavitha’s College of Arts and Science is a highly regarded Co-educational institution. It is pioneer institution offering twelve UG Courses in Arts and Science, i.e. Tamil, Commerce, English, Commerce (Computer Application), Business Administration. Computer Science, Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics, Botany, Zoology and Microbiology, Four PG Courses MA Tamil, MA English, M.Com, M.Sc Computer Science. Kavitha’s College of Arts and Science was started in 2015 is affiliated to the Periyar University and within a span of two years it had registered exceptional progress.

Apart from academic curriculum, equally important is the policy to provide value based education and to bring out the hidden potential in students that equip them to approach life with optimism.
