Department of Chemistry

Introduction:

The department of chemistry was established in the academic year 2016-2017. Our department has well equipped laboratories and conducted various workshop for the development of the students. Students are interested to produce Ink, Soap powder, Natural soaps and Cleaner in an lab. It shows their talent and innovative skills.

♦ To build foundation for excellence and spur development of the institution  as a premier institution, by igniting and nurturing enthusiasm, interests and passion in the study of chemistry, in professional courses, as a part of curricula.

Mission:

♦ To promote teaching – learning methodology

♦ To develop self – thinking and creativity among the students

♦ Encourage the students to being their innovative skills.

Our Chemistry Department association was Inaugurated on 08.09.2017, the chief guest Dr. K. Nirubama, R&D Manager, Bio Clinical Lab. Rasipuram and delivered a Special  Lecture on “the Role of Chemistry in Daily Life”.

♦ We conducted a workshop on the title of  “Preparation of Ink and Soap Powder” on 07.09.2017. Our Students prepared model Blue Ink, Red Ink and Washing Soap powder.

♦ Our Department students have visited “Sashsayee Paper & Boards Limited” on September 2017. They have learned the methods of paper making from industry.

♦ Chemistry department Association was inaugurated on 22.02.2019. Dr. K. Kandasamy, Asst. Professor and Department of chemistry, KSR Womens Arts and Science College acted as a chief gust.

♦ Our  Department students have visited Hatsun Agro Product Limited, Salem on January – 2019.

♦ We conducted a Workshop in the title of “ Preparation of Natural Soap and Analysis of Soil” on 07.09.2020. Our students are participated eagerly. Our Students prepared model Toilet Soap and Glass Cleaner.

♦ Our students have visited “Hatsun Agro Product Limited”, Salem on 27.08.2018 .

♦ Our Department students have visited “Visaka Industrial Pvt.Ltd”. Paramathi on 09.03.2020.
